Escape rooms are becoming more mainstream. Race to Escape is a reality television series airing on the Science Channel. Teams of three strangers compete against each other to escape from a themed room. The faster team wins $25,000. Challenges, puzzles, and props must all be duplicated – one for each team – and must also make for good television for viewers.
